Palolo Watershed Project

Learning about the Watershed and it's connection to the ocean

Picture
Trees To Seas is working with college students and community members to spread awareness about the Palolo Watershed and how important it is for reef health. We are starting our observations high above the community in Palolo, where Ka'au crater, a high elevation swamp spills over a series of waterfalls and eventually is piped down to supply the water for the valley. Here we took water quality samples, we took PH and Dissolved Oxegen reading and we did a general assesment on bank quality and human impacts.
